Zoya Tracie

Hey guys! I hope you're doing well today! I have a ton to do this weekend... I have a 5 day weekend, so Miss Zoey's nursery is getting an overhaul! We've got to paint the ceiling, spackle and paint the walls (PINK!)... And hopefully I'll get the curtains finished and hung! Yay! I'm so excited to finally be working on it... We only have 15 weeks left, after all... AHH!

Anyway, to the polish!! Here's one of the 6 colors I got in Zoya's Earth Day exchange this year... Zoya Tracie!

Zoya describes Tracie as "Faded, yellow-toned pistachio green with delicate silvery shimmer for a frosted pearl finish."  The formula on this one was a bit thick, but it evened out after the second coat. It was also a bit more slow-drying than other Zoya's that I'm used to, but it wasn't problematic. The color is absolutely gorgeous and flattering... I've gotten many compliments on it! Zoya sure does know how to do a great green!!

I know I promised 2 review posts... I got the pictures for one of them, and my SD card decided to eat the pictures. My computer wouldn't read my card, so I had to reformat it. SO, that's something else I'll be working on this weekend! I promise I'll have them to you soon! :)

Spring Water Marble!

Hello! Just a quick post today to show you a water marble that I did awhile back, and for some reason never showed off! As usual, I used some of my Sally Hansen X-Treme Wear polishes, which I find to work extraordinarily well for marbling. :)

Polishes used:
Sally Hansen Whirlwind White (base)
SH Mint Sorbet
SH Lacey Lilac
SH Bubblegum Pink
SH The Real Teal

Stay tuned, I've got 2 great reviews coming your way this week!

Also, for this week's belly post, check out my new pregnancy blog, Z is for Zoey! If you're crafty like me, you'll want to give it a follow... I'll be posting pics of all of the DIY projects in her nursery, as well as the cute things I'll be making for her in the upcoming months! Can you believe there's less than 4 months until her big debut? WHOA!

How far along? 22 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: Spaghetti Squash! 11 whole inches!
Total weight gain: 6 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yep, and loving it!
Stretch marks? Yes, but still light. I'm ok with it.
Sleep: So-so... I keep waking up in the wee hours.
Best moment this week? Finding out that we're having a baby girl!
Miss anything? Nope!
Movement: Tons! She has now decided that my cervix is her trampoline though... I could do without that.
Cravings? Mexican food!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Labor signs: Nada.
Symptoms: Feeling good, but starting to feel a bit top heavy. Not being able to see my feet is a little disorienting, so I'm more clumsy than I normally am.... And I'm normally pretty clumsy. ;)
Belly Button in or out? It's on it's way to convex.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? Very happy!
Looking forward to: SEWING! I have a TON of sewing to do now that I have a solid plan for a nursery!

OPI Dazzle Me + M19 tips

Hey guys! I have a cute mani to show you today that I did last week. I've had OPI Dazzle Me for awhile, but I hadn't come up with an idea to use it in yet. It's very sheer, and has a blue-green shimmer to it. I had originally intended to layer it, but on a whim I wanted to see what it looked like by itself. Then, I added some tips with my Konad M19 plate and my Sally Hansen Quick Color pen in Green Chrome. I am quite proud of this manicure because, though it's simple, it's the first manicure that I've actually been successful in using M19 (the french tip plate) in! The tip plates can be quite tricky to line up, and I have ruined at least 3 perfectly good manicures with it!

Here's the pics! The first is with flash, and the second 2 are without because I think it showed Dazzle Me a bit better.

What do you think? I was really quite proud of the way it turned out... Maybe I'll start using that plate a bit more often! Have you had much success with the tip stamping plates? Do you have any pointers for me or my readers? Post them below, and post some pictures of your cute stamped-tips manicures on my Facebook wall!

21 Weeks Pregnant

Photobucket

How far along? 21 weeks!
Baby is the size of a: Carrot!
Total weight gain: 5 lbs
Maternity clothes? Pretty much exclusively maternity clothes now. I went shopping with my mom this weekend at a few bargain stores (Ross, Burkes Outlet) and bought LOTS of shirts! I just feel so much more cute and comfortable, rather than trying to make something that I had before work. My tank tops were also getting short, so that needed to be changed ASAP! One of my new outfits is shown in the picture above!
Stretch marks? Still on my hips, but I'm much less upset about it than I thought I'd be.
Sleep: Good! Last night I had a dream that Kim Kardashian was my best friend and we were models. ;)
Best moment this week? Baby P moved out of my pelvis. WOOO! It was originally tucked down as far as it could go with it's feet tucked in. On Monday, I woke up and all of a sudden my feet were gone and I was A LOT more comfortable!
Miss anything? Nope! Kinda loving being pregnant! :)
Movement: Lots and lots! It's our nightly routine to lay on the couch and watch/feel it move around. :)
Cravings? Mac n Cheese. :D
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Labor signs: Nada.
Symptoms: Feeling great this week, other than some mild indigestion and heartburn after I eat. THe hip and back pain has gotten MUCH better since it's moved out of it's hidey hole!
Belly Button in or out? Still in, but more shallow... I think I'm on my way to outtie land.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy! :)
Looking forward to: HOPEFULLY no longer having to call Baby P an "it" after this week! Wednesday is the big anatomy scan... Keep your fingers crossed!!

And just for fun, here's some pictures that my future step-sister-in-law took of my hubs and I today during Easter lunch! She did a great job! Thanks Jessica!
