Zoya Tanzy!

Voting is over! Tonight, I have Tanzy to show you, and tomorrow you'll get Areej! I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did... It was a fun way to be able to use all of my new Zoyas!

I recommend enlarging this one!

I originally had reservations about Tanzy... I couldn't decide if I wanted to get her or not! Now, I'm glad I did... this is such a fun, summery color! It makes me really want a Clementine....

Zoya Mitzi + Zoya Lolly = BFF's 4eva

Changing it up a bit tonight... A matte skittle for you! I had 2 left, so what the hell? (I borrowed this idea from Let Them Have Polish  <3 <3 )

So, dear followers, I give you Mitzi and Lolly!

(Remember, Lefty and I are still not on speaking terms... Especially after I broke my middle finger nail yesterday AND apparently cut it as well. :( This is the last time I will subject you to such horrors, I promise!)

I am loving these matte's! I was a little worried about Mitzi... I saw a few swatches that made her look a little mustard-y green-yellow... but she's a pretty neon kiwi-green! I love it! Lolly is your typical hot pink... but she meshes so well with the other two in the collection! I really do wish Zoya would have given Lolly and Mitzi the same pretty shimmer as Phoebe, but we can't have it all, right? I had a bit of an application problem with Mitzi... I can't tell if it's because of the yellow-ish-ness (which as we all know, yellows are notorious for being problematic), or if it's just because she's a matte. These are my first matte polishes, so I assume it'll get better with time. This is 3-sometimes-4 coats of polish, plus a top and base coat. The order is as follows: Base, Polish, Polish, Top, Polish (and on some, another Polish). That last coat solved some of the weird application.

All in all, major love!

But now, it's a show down. Who will win the final battle? Shimmer or cream? Tanzy or Areej? Go go go!

Zoya Kieko!

After a nice little break from my Remove +, I'm back on the ball! Today, I have another from the Summertime collection... Zoya Kieko!

I had a really hard time getting this picture right.... These 3 pictures are literally different colors. The second one is the most accurate, in my opinion... and the last one is without flash. :)

Zoya describes Kieko as a "warm, red-toned dusty light purple with berry undertones and an opaque cream finish". I love this color! It's in-between a berry pink and a purple.... gorgeous! This is 2 coats. Don't forget to vote in the poll.... Who do you want to see next?

By the way, have you liked me on Facebook yet? If you did, you probably know that I'm going to have a give-away VERY soon! And it's going to be huge! There will be more than one winner! :) So make sure you are following me publicly on Google Friend Connect.... You can make an account with your existing email address! I can't wait to show you all of the goodies I shopped for today! :D

Zoya Mira + Gosh Holographic

So, as some of you may have seen on my Facebook page, I decided to not carry on with the Poll manicures for tonight. Just for tonight, I promise! I will pick back up tomorrow! I love Mira so much that I didn't want to take her off! So I decided to Konad for the first time in awhile! (Or at least it seems like it!)

This is Zoya Mira, stamped with the beautifulamazingwonderful Gosh Holographic, and the Argyle pattern from Konad M60. Oh, the blingy rainbow goodness! I love holographic polishes, and this one takes the cake! I will have to be careful driving to work tomorrow....

Zoya Mira! Facebook Page! AND 100 FOLLOWERS!!

My Facebook fan page has been a success! I have 53 "likes" so far... And counting! I've had fun with it! :) If you haven't been there yet, be sure to like me HERE!

Now, on to the gorgeous winner! Zoya Mira is absolutely beautiful! This one caught my eye when I saw the original promo pics in the catalog that snuck into my Intimate Promo box... and I couldn't wait to try her on! (See? I waited on one that I really wanted to try just for YOU!)

With that being said, my camera flash did NOT like Mira at all. It made her look all neon-blue-y! Very strange. Now I know what people mean by camera lenses freaking out about blues and purples.... But I will show you that picture in a minute! I took these pictures with no flash, by the light of my over-the-sink kitchen light. I think they're the most accurate.

Zoya describes Mira as a "blue-toned medium purple with dusty lavender tones and an opaque cream finish". This is Breezi's purple sister. A darker grape purple. Absolutely gorgeous.... Everything I've wanted in a purple! This was completely opaque and beautifully smooth in 2 coats.

Now, as promised, my camera's version of Mira:

Weirdness!

Last but not least, I FINALLY REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS! Thank you to ALL of you for {hopefully} enjoying my blog  as much as I do! I am brain-storming a great give-away for you guys... I will be getting it together this week! :) <3

Love you all!

Zoya Breezi, your winner #4!

This little lady was taking votes by a land slide! You guys must really want to see Breezi.... 20 votes total so far, and the others are just getting past 10!

Breezi was really hard for my camera to capture.... It kept showing as FAR too bright blue, when Breezi is really a dusty teal blue. I ended up taking one picture with flash, and two without.... the ones without flash got the closest to the true hue of Breezi.

Zoya describes Breezi as "soft, dusty, dirty cerulean blue with an opaque cream finish". It's also described as a "denim" blue, which I think is very accurate. It went on like a dream... the best Zoya I've used so far, I dare say! Almost opaque in one coat, but I did 2 for good measure. I. Love. This. Blue. I can't get over it! This will definitely be one of my go-to colors.... God, I only hope the rest of the Summertime collection is as smooth and beautiful as this!!

Keep on voting, guys! I'll have another post for you tomorrow night. :)

Winner #3 is.... Phoebe from ModMatte!

The votes were VERY close.... Miss Phoebe was bumped out of the running for #2 at the last second yesterday, and was almost bumped out of the running today as well! I was so excited to try this little lady... This is my first ever matte polish! (not counting Matte Magic)

All I've ever heard about matte's is how incredibly fast they chip. I have heard that the "sandwich method" works well to help extend the wear, which means matte polish + top coat + matte polish. For this, I used 2 coats of Phoebe, and then one coat of Zoya Armor. You can't really see it in this pic, but Phoebe definitely needed 3 coats... she was just a bit patchy after the second coat. But, I'm telling you... Shimmery matte's with a top coat is dreamy!

Then, I added one more good coat of Phoebe, and it was matte perfection!

The color on Phoebe seems to be very similar to Zoya Robyn.... I will most likely do a comparison to share with you all sometime later today, as I'm removing. ;) If it's very close like I think it is, it will be fun to do Robyn with Phoebe tips!

As of now, I'm deleting the current poll so I can remove Phoebe and Apple from the running. The votes that I have tallied so far will still stay in my notes, and will be used in the totals. That way, you guys have no idea which is actually winning! :) I hope you guys are enjoying the voting as much as I am.... I think it's fun!

Go get your vote on!

New stash storage!

Are you happy now, Megan? She's been telling me that I need a "cuter" storage for my nail polish. I definitely needed something more accessible than my tubs.

My mother in law (who, if you remember, is in town from the UK for 3 weeks, YAY!) gave me a book shelf to use! My father in law, Dawson, made it for her when they didn't have much money and she needed a book shelf. It's basically the cutest thing ever. :)

So, here's my new polish display!

I also did an updated count.... Total, not including top and base coats or the Sally quick color pens, I have 110 bottles of nail polish. Woah!!

Now I just have to figure out how to make "stair step" rows so I can see them all. ;)

Zoya Apple + OPI Black Shatter

I had OPI Black Shatter in my purse from when I went to Ulta the other day. I was sitting at a red light, drooling over my Apple nails (really, they're gorgeous!), and went, "Hmmmmm~"..... And then I Black Shattered all over it.

I. Love. Black. Shatter. The end.

Deborah Lippmann giveaway from You Nailed It! (And don't forget my poll!)

You Nailed It! is having a 1 year Blogger-versary give-away! She is giving away a surprise Deborah Lippmann polish... You don't know which one you'll get if you win! The DL glitters are gorgeous..... none compare!

Click the link above to enter!

Also, keep voting on your favourite Zoya Summer collection polish.... I've got a secret tally of the votes, so the numbers on the poll over there mean NOTHING! Muahaha. ;)

Winner #2 is.... Zoya Apple!

I am really liking everyone helping me decide on what to wear! This is fun!

Your day 2 winner is Zoya Apple from the Sunshine collection! You guys surprised me and turned the votes around.... Phoebe was in the lead most of the day!

So, here she is, Apple fans!

(Yes, these are of my right hand. My left hand and I are not on speaking terms at the moment...)

This is 3 coats of Apple... I am in love! It's like Ivanka and Midori had a love child. <3 Zoya describes Apple as a "luminous yellow-toned apple green with gold metallic sparkle". She is gorgeous!! Perfect formula, needed three coats just because I'm picky. This is going to be the perfect pedi color this summer (even this spring!), but it's definitely not too bright for the fingers!

This collection has won me over so far.... but come on, ladies! Let me try another! I added a poll for easier voting (and easier counting!!).... Vote away! :)

And the winner is.... Zoya Faye!

I tallied up the votes from here and from the Zoya Facebook fan page, and the winner is Zoya Faye! This is one of the girls I was most excited about.... so I'm glad you all chose her for me! :)

Faye is described by Zoya as "A bronzed mauve with purple and brown undertones, flooded with bright gold sparkle". Spot on, in my opinion... Such a gorgeous, interesting shade! Here's where it gets neat though....

Is it just me, or does she look like Tiffany in dim lighting? Almost like a shiny new penny! I can't wait to see her in the sun!

Good choice, ladies! I will work my way down the list... Keep voting on your favourite! Who would you lie to see next? Tanzy, Apple, Phoebe, Mitzi, Lolly, Mira, Areej, Breezi, or Keiko?

Zoya Jules... and Zoya Indecision! Help me decide! VOTE!

Hi friends! :)

Yesterday after I took off my neon polka-dotted beautiful-ness, I decided to try one that I haven't yet used from my Intimate Collection, Zoya Jules. Now, this is weird for me. This is the first "neutral" type color I've ever worn. I'm a pink/blue/purple kind of girl... glitter, sparkle, and BRIGHT! With that being said....

....I LOVE IT! It was a nice break from all of the bright colors I've been doing, well, all my life! Jules is a beautiful gold/beige shimmer... the finished look reminds me of Danni's texture. Absolutely flawless in 2 coats, which is the perfection I expect from Zoya.

I also went to Ulta and bought a small bottle of Qtica Natural Nail Growth Stimulator. $12 is easier to swallow than $20, and at least I'll be able to figure out if I like it. I'm going to be using it as a base coat, because obviously, my nails don't go nekkid. I've gotta say, since I used it yesterday, I haven't had any peelies today! I don't know if that has to do with the NGS or not, but I've had peelies consistently for 3 days now (like, peeling my nail polish off with the nail kind of peelies), so it's a good thing!

Oh, and guess what I got in the mail today! My Zoya BOGO!

Here's the problem....  I love them. I love them ALL. I can't decide what to wear! Here's where you come in!

VOTE ON YOUR FAVOURITE!

Yes, I am going to wait until tomorrow afternoon to try on one of my new lovelies, and it will be the one that YOU vote for! Post a comment and tell me which of my beauties from the new Zoya collections you'd like me to put on first! Tomorrow, I will tally up the votes, and announce the winner in the form of a pretty mani for YOU!

Get to votin'!

Wacky Tacky Day, part deux~

So, as promised, here is the final Wacky Tacky attire. Revel in the wacky-ness, and keep in mind that yes, I went to Ulta like this. ;)

"Muffins are just ugly cupcakes."

I am indeed a special little cupcake rainbow priness gryffindor. C:

Also, I fixed my mask! I think it's much improved:

Keep your fingers crossed... Patients will be voting all week. Hopefully I'll win the staff "best costume"! :)

Wacky Tacky Day Polka-Dot Electro Candy Skittle-cure!

Hi friends!

I work at an Orthdontist, and sometimes we have theme days.... We have to dress up, and encourage our patients to do so as well! The last theme day we had was "Decade Day", and we had to pick a decade to dress up as! I picked the 50s, because I actually had a dress that worked!

It's a dress that I picked up at a vintage store called "Flashback" in Nashville.... I ended up winning the contest! (Our patients got to vote on the best costume from the staff.) I happen to love dress up days. :)

Our next theme is Wacky Tacky Day, and I can't wait! I have quite an outfit ready..... But of course, what kind of nail polish addict would I be if I didn't do my fingers to "match"?

I decided to use my new Color Club Electro Candy collection!

There isn't a color I don't like from this collection! They are all gorgeous... even the yellow, which I was weary about! My favourites are Pure Energy (blue), Ultra Violet (purple), and Electro Candy (Pink). Volt of Light (yellow), Tangerine Scream (orange), and What a Shock! (green) are all gorgeous too... I just can't get enough of these! The shimmer just gives it a little something else.... They are so vibrant and beautiful! Even my mother in law approves!

Of course, this wasn't anywhere close to "wacky" or "tacky" enough, so I added dots with my new dotting tools!

That's more like it! :D

Also, here's a sneak peak of my skirt, that I'm wearing over my plaid shorts and different color (polka dotted and striped) socks:

Bahahahah~

I will post a picture of the full ensemble when I can! :D

Zoya BOGO on Summertime, Sunshine, and ModMatte collections!

YAY YAY YAYYYYYY! Zoya has done it again! Buy one get one? Yes please!

Granted, it was a pain in my rear that I had built my cart with normal colors, so I had to remove them and add the new ones, but I'll live! I get NEW COLORS!

I ordered Tanzy, Apple, Faye, Breezi, Mira, Kieko, Areej, Lolly, Mitzi, and Phoebe. I also threw in Isla and Crystal for good measure, to bump the order over $55 so I could get $2 Expedited shipping. Plus, it's my birthday money! I get to decide what to buy, amirite?

For more details on this limited time only BOGO, see Zoya's Blog.... and for swatches, see Templatia! SunshineSummertime, and Mod Matte.

My little Zoya Pixie friends, what did you order?

Color Club Haul at Ross! Plus a mistake..?

My mother in law is in town! Hooray! She is fun... she loves to sew and loves crafts! We went shopping today at Old Navy and Ross, and of course after hearing that Color Club collections are common at Ross, I had to check! Here's what I found!

The Electro Candy collection! These colors are MAD neon... but also SHIMMERY! I can't wait to play with these... Maybe a rainbow water marble? Or scotch tape rainbow rays? Excited!

And the Wild at Heart collection..... wait, what? Let's take a closer look.

Yes, that's right. Glitter Vixens polishes in Wild at Heart packaging! I didn't even realize until I got in the car... I  thought something looked weird! It's the complete Glitter Vixens colection in the wrong package. I thought at first maybe just a few bottles were switched (I wasn't too familiar with all the colors in the collection), but it's all of them! So, my hunt continues! I will admit, I laughed!

I can't wait to show these to you all! :)
