8 Days of Julep: Julep Chloe

Ahh, here we are! Day 8 of 8 Days of Julep, and the last day of the Turkey Day weekend! How was your holiday! I hope there were full bellies and good times all around! My weekend was so great and I got so much done, but now I've got a touch of a chest cold. I really hope it moves out soon... I hate being sick!

Anyway, on to the last Julep pretty that I have to show you.... Julep Chloe!

Chloe has a gorgeous black base with a gorgeous magenta-purple glitter. The pictures do this no justice at all... It's so beautiful! It was just a bit textured after drying, so I added a top coat to smooth things over. This is 3 coats.

Hooray! That's it! I hope you all enjoyed my Julep week as much as I did, and I hope you have new Julep pretties on your wish list! Maybe you'll get some in your Juleo Maven Box?

See you next time! :)

Boris & Nicole is a gorgeous red-orange shimmer.... 2 coats were used to achieve complete opacity, and the formula was dreamy! I love this color... it reminds me of bricks and flames!

8 Days of Julep: Julep Catherine

Hey guys! How was your Turkey Day? Mine was great... I had 2 families to visit, and we brought home tons of left overs! Also, despite years of saying that I would NEVER do it again, I actually went Black Friday shopping! Michaels had a great deal on Cricut machines and cartridges, so I bought my Christmas present while my hubby was working! I got a Cricut Expressions 2 for $199 that came with 4 cartridges, plus the cartridges were on sale for $25 a piece! I'm so excited, but the hubby won't let me  play until I open it on Christmas. Hah!

Anyway, back to the Julep! Here is Julep Catherine!

Catherine is a perfect red jelly creme. This showed just a bit of VNL after 2 coats, but it was a lot less noticeable than it shows in the pictures. I got Catherine in a Holiday set on Julep.com... $48 for Catherine, another polish that slips my mind at the moment, a glass file, Facial for Hands scrub, cuticle oil, and the cute make-up bag that I missed out on when I picked the Polish Lovers option this month! It was really a great deal!

Remember, you can get lots of Julep goodies sent to you each month by becoming a Julep Maven!

8 Days of Julep: Julep Amy

Hello again! And HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!! Do you have big plans today? We are going to THREE family's houses today... we will be running all over! But I'm very excited... I love Thanksgiving and I love turkey! What are you thankful for today? I am thankful for my husband, my family and friends, and for my life!!

Have you enjoyed the Julep love in my posts so far this week? I have another for you... Julep Amy!

Amy is THE perfect dusty sky blue! It makes me think of the perfect cloudless day... Just gorgeous! The coverage was great, with just 2 coats. It dried to a neat satin finish... not quite matte and not quite gloss. It was very flattering and pretty!

I hope you're ready.... because there's more Julep coming your way! Which ones are your fav's so far?  Don't forget to stop by tomorrow!

8 Days of Julep: Julep Selena

Day 4! And there's still some more! Bahaha <3

Ok, I'll admit it. When I first saw the Boho Glam Maven box for November, I wasn't too sure about Julep Selena. The color was.... interesting. I was going to stick with it, but then of course, the Polish Lovers option was given, and I just had to! So, I decided I'd just order Selena with a referral credit! Boy, am I glad I did! I absolutely love this shade! You might think I'm crazy, but I love the way it looks on my nails!

Selena is a pretty-ugly-pretty yellow-y moss green creme. It's so ugly that it's pretty, ya know what I mean? No really, I love this color! It's so unique! 2 coats.

Haven't become a Maven yet? What are you waiting for? Get started!

8 Days of Julep: Julep Zoe

Day 3! Hooray! Today, I have the gorgeous Julep Zoe!

Zoe is a bright, shimmering copper orange. She reminds me of a new penny! I loved new pennies when I was a kid! I remember once, when my sister and I were home alone, we used a ton of vinegar and salt to clean all the pennies we could find! My mom was SO mad at us! Again, this is just 2 coats of Zoe.

Stay tuned for day 4!

8 Days of Julep: Julep Amanda

Welcome to day 2 of 8 Days of Julep! Today, I have a fun polish to show you that came to me from the lovely Chelsea at The Nail Network! Behold the super bright Julep Amanda!

HOLY CANOLEY this polish is bright! And it makes my hands look pretty awesomely tan! Amanda is the perfect color of Orange Sherbet. The only flaw with Amanda is that she required just a bit of polish thinner (I believe I added 3 drops... you were right, Chelsea!), but after that she was nice and smooth... just 2 coats to opacity! This is definitely going to be my next pedi color!

Don't forget to click HERE to get your own Julep goodies!

Are you excited for day 3?

8 Days of Julep: Julep Maggie

Hey guys! I've got lots of little Julep bottles and not a lot of Julep swatches... So I decided to give you a week of Julep! Then I realized that I had 8 swatches.... oops! So I'll do 8 days! Sunday to Sunday... nothing but Julep-y goodness!

The first gem I have to show you is Julep Maggie.

I wish my pictures actually did this beauty justice! Maggie is a gorgeous violet with glitter that shines flashes of pink, blue, and purple. Wonderful in 2 coats, and actually wasn't a pain to remove! My apologies for the tip wear... This is actually after 2 days of wear and tear on Maggie.

Interesting in getting lots of Julep goodies, including their beautiful polishes, amazing cuticle oil, and dreamy Facial For Hands Glycolic Hand Scrub? Click HERE to sign up for their Julep Maven program, and for $20 a month, you can get a box with some amazing goodies! Such a fun, great program!

Catrice Sold Out Forever

Hey guys! Happy Saturday! I finally feel like I can slow down a little bit. I saw Breaking Dawn twice yesterday (once at Midnight and again that night with my work ladies)... To be honest, I really didn't like it. I hate that I didn't because I am a big Twilight fan. I was just really disappointed. :( But, the soundtrack was really good, so that's a plus!

Anyway, now that THAT is out of the way.... This is a polish from my very first swap with my Netherlands buddy, Kati!

Catrice Sold Out Forever is a gorgeous pale sage green with a soft green pearl shimmer. I love the formula on Catrice polishes.... This was absolutely perfect coverage in 2 thin coats.

What's on your nails this weekend?

Thanks for stopping by, sweet friends! <3

Zoya Feel Collection for Winter 2011 Swatches & Photos

I'm so excited to show you this collection! It's absolutely beautiful! Zoya has definitely delivered with these soft, gorgeous neutral cremes for winter! It's refreshing, after all of the dark fall shades!

L to R: Kendal, Megan, Avery, Kennedy, Carey, Kristen

Kendal: Zoya describes Kendal as a "lavender, beige creme". She is just gorgeous! Flawless in just 2 coats.

Megan: Zoya describes Megan as "taupe gray creme". This one really reminds me of winter... almost the color of snow-y clouds! 2 coats.

Avery: Zoya describes Avery as a "blond-beige creme". This is the only one in the collection I'm iffy about. I love the color, I'm just not to sure about it on me. It seems a bit yellow for my skin tone. 2 coats.

Kennedy: Zoya describes Kennedy as a "pale, french beige creme". That's more like it! This one has more rose-y undertones, so it's much more flattering to my skin. I love it! 2 coats.

Carey: Zoya describes Carey as "periwinkle gray". This is like Dove's more sophisticated cousin. A true grey! 2 coats.

Kristen: Zoya describes Kristen as a "gull gray nail polish with a mild bluish hue". This is my favorite in the collection! Almost like a soft powder blue... it's such a flattering, pretty shade! 2 coats.

Overall, this collection is a winner for me. So simple, yet so sophisticated... and shades to flatter all! All of the polishes had great formulas and were completely opaque in 2 coats across the board.

What do you think of the Feel collection? Which ones are must-haves for you? Which one is your favorite? What do you think about Avery on me... Does it look weird or am I just being silly?

Thanks for stopping by, my dears!

Edward: Sparkly! Geddit? Tiny holographic glitters with bigger square teal glitters! This one is fun! 1 coat

China Glaze Eye Candy Collection Swatches

I was lucky enough to get my hands on 4 of the 6 China Glaze Eye Candy polishes... These are the 4 are at Sally's. The only ones I didn't get are Material Girl (Pink) and Marry A Millionaire (purple bar glitter). Anyone know where to get them? I'm keeping an eye on CosmoProf! If you have em for swap, please email me!

L to R: Love Marilyn, Lorelei's Tiara, Blonde Bombshell, and Some Like It Haute

Love Marilyn: "Vivacious red with shimmering silver particles." Love Marilyn has red microglitter and small round silver glitter in a clear base. Almost like the red glitter from the OPI Muppets collection, but they are very different. This is 2 coats layered over China Glaze Red Pearl.

Lorelei's Tiara: "Sterling silver infused with blue sprinkles." The silver glitter in this is SUPER tiny and dense (much smaller than the red in Love Marilyn), but the blue is the same size as the silver in LM. This is  one of my favorites from the collection! 2 coats, layered over China Glaze Devotion.

Blonde Bombshell: "Glistening multi-dimensional gold flecks." This polish has 3 different glitters going on. First, the super-fine gold glitters, like in Lorelei's Tiara. Then, the small round gold glitters. But Blonde Bombshell has a little something extra.... Holographic bar-glitter-ish fibers. They are so super tiny that they're almost hard to see, but it's a nice execution of it... Not "hairy" like many bar glitters tend to be. This is 2 coats, layered over China Glaze Passion.

Some Like It Haute: "Graphite gray with holographic glitter." This is my absolute favorite! In these pictures, you see the minuscule glitter that was in LT and BB, but with the way it's layered, you can see more detail on just how tiny it is. The larger glitters in this one are holographic... it gives a gorgeous effect! It's like Orly Androgynie's hot younger sister! This is 2 coats, layered over Zoya Raven.

Over all, this collection is gorgeous! These glitters have great coverage and are super easy to work with. All but Love Marilyn could have done without layering, but I thought layering would give them more depth... And by themselves I probably would have used 3-4 coats. I can't wait to see the other two in the collection... I hope I can get them soon!

What do you think about this collection? Which ones are you going to get for yourself? What do you think about ALL OF THIS GLITTER in these holiday collections?!!

Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors: Disco Dolls and Wear Something Spar-Kylie

Let's just get this out there: I can't STAND the Kardashians. I don't like them, I don't like their show, and I usually ward off anything with their name on it.

That being said.... Damn, why did they have to make some pretty colors?? I couldn't help it! My buddy Stacy snagged 2 of these beauties for me, and then my friend Felicia surprised me with a cute little goody bag that included 3 more of them! Now I have all of them that I wanted... The glitters! Today, I will show you two.... Disco Dolls and Wear Something Spar-Kylie.

Wear Something Spar-Kylie: A gorgeous rose pink glitter. There are 2 different glitters... rose colored micro glitter, and then small round glitters that are just slightly a different shade. It gives a depth to this polish that is truly stunning!

Disco Dolls: A copper gold glitter with speckles of larger multi-colored glitter. Again with the two sizes, but in this one, there are green, blue, pink, purple, silver.... It's such a neat effect!

What do you guys think about the Kardashian Color line? Which ones are you getting? I will show you swatches of the other 3 very soon!

Thanks for reading! <3
