Rainbows&Sparkles Polish Station!

Hey guys! Happy sunday! I've been meaning to post this for awhile, and just never got around to it. You may remember my Melmer decorating post awhile back... I have updated it quite a lot since then! Check out my polish station!

Using all of the "melmer" cubes and such, I made a desk! Obviously, I changed the colors... I used fabric this time around, and I really like the look of it better than the paper that I used before. What you see here are 4 of the 3-drawer storage cubes, a desk top, and a glass-front, 2 shelf cabinet. The shelves on the wall are also part of the storage system. All of the pieces were very easy to put together, and in total, the whole desk cost about $130. (Coupons are your best friend!) You can find this craft storage at Michaels, and keep an eye out! They usually go on sale! If not, use a coupon... never pay full price! The drawers on either side store all of my polish pretties... There are 2 empty drawers, and the rest are very full!

As for the painting above, that is completely drawn and painted by yours truly! I was inspired by a card sent to me by a fellow blogger, and the creative juices started flowing!

I plan to make more "stations" when I get a craft room of my own... I have lots of scrapbooking and Cricut supplies, as well as a CRAP TON of yarn, that need a permanent home! My craft room will also double as a playroom in the future! Hopefully I'll have my new room in the next few months! Until then, this little corner of my livingroom will have to do!

I hope you love my polish station... How do you store your polish and supplies?

question, do you find the desk piece to be really sturdy? like for leaning on it and doing art? that's my one concern

  9. Looks fab! I only wish I had a spot anywhere in my tiny cottage I could devote to this kind of a set up - or even just the storage without the desk!
