China Glaze Polkadot accents!

Today, I did some nail art! It's been refreshing to make my nails pretty again! I also have been transitioning them from square to round, which is actually a shape that I'm really liking on me! It's been a lot easier for me to maintain... Less breakages and no more snagging on things!

So today, I started with a base of China Glaze Dance Baby, and then used a dotting tool to make cute light pink shimmery polkadots on my thumb and ring fingers with China Glaze Angel's Breath. It turned out to be such a cute, girly, simple manicure that I absolutely love!

In other news, Zoey and I have been trying to occupy ourselves inside due to the cold weather! It's dipped into the single digits, and that's just too cold for these Tennessee girls! Zoey's new favorite activities are bubbles (I can't go more than a few hours without a request for "bubbuf? Peeeeees!"), and her box of rice, beans, and pasta! Sounds ridiculously silly and simple, but she loves it! We picked up a shoebox sized tub and added some brown rice, beans, and rotini pasta, and we found some measuring cups, scoops, and spoons in Target's dollar section. She has a blast scooping it up and emptying it into cups and bowls!

A little messy, but all of the best things are... Right? We can't wait for warmer temperatures though... We are ready for the Zoo and the park! If anyone has any other ideas for keeping this little busy girl happy and occupied, please let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading!

Comebacks and Transformations...

Well, it has certainly been awhile!

Things are doing well in the Parker household! Zoey is now almost 18 months old... Can you believe that? Time has absolutely flown, and I finally understand what other parents meant when they said that I'd forget the little things. I find myself looking back on pictures and videos from 2012-2013, and while I remember the moment, I can't believe my baby was really that little!

Loving on Rainbow Dash!

In the last year, Zoey has learned to walk, talk, sing, and dance... She has been to Europe twice to visit her family and explore the world. She loves castles! Among her favorite shows are Bubble Guppies (which my husband and I both admittedly love!) and My Little Pony (which she sings the theme song to every time she sees them. The girl can spot ponies from a mile away!). She loves dolls ("Ohhh, babies!") and loves to wear my jewelry. She is still a red head! Who knew 2 brunettes could end up with a ginger baby?

A day at the park.

In the last year, I've expanded my crafting hobby to sewing and selling cloth diapers, which I love! (Shoutout to Itsy Stitches!) I balked at the thought of reusable diapers in the past, and now I can't imagine ever using a disposable again! I also got an embroidery machine, which has always been something I dreamed of getting, and "Monogram ALL the  things!" has become a frequent joke in our house!

With all of that said, I think it's time for a comeback for Rainbows & Sparkles... Though not as what it was. There will still be the occasional nail post, oh yes! I don't think I could make my grand return without showing off some fun manicures! But I'm so much more than nail polish. I'm a breastfeeding, babywearing, cloth diapering, sewing, crafting, singing, reading, fun-loving stay-at-home Mommy that loves to brag about my little girl. I want a place to share my love of crafting and baby wearing and cloth diapering and parenting... So, expect big changes from Rainbows & Sparkles. The name is the same, but I tend to incorporate Rainbows & Sparkles into many aspects of my life, not just onto my nails.

Allons-y!

<3 Amber
